Darren Till, the former UFC welterweight title challenger, is making waves again. After stepping away from the UFC in 2023, Till ventured into boxing, securing a TKO victory over Anthony Taylor in January. Now, as he prepares to face Darren Stewart in Derby on May 16, he’s hinting at a return to MMA—but not necessarily with the UFC.
Considering the PFL
In a recent interview, Till expressed openness to joining the Professional Fighters League (PFL). “I might try my hand at the PFL,” he said. “I like the way they do their organization. I would actually love a bash at it.” This marks a shift from his previous stance of only returning to the UFC. Till emphasized his physical readiness, stating, “I’m not too old in the sport, my body’s not broken… I think I still have a few years left in me.”
Upcoming Bout with Darren Stewart
Before any MMA return, Till is set to headline Misfits Boxing 21 against fellow UFC veteran Darren Stewart. The bout, rescheduled for May 16 in Derby, promises a clash between two seasoned fighters transitioning into the boxing arena. “We’re both having a go at the boxing, and we’re going to have a tear-up in Derby,” Till remarked.
As Till navigates his boxing career and contemplates a return to MMA, fans eagerly await his next moves, whether in the ring or the cage.
